About Me

Hi! My name's Alex. I run First Call Handyman, a home services company based on competence, care, and respect for my clients.

From a young age, I've always liked fixing things, but my background is actually in film production and the startup world.

For eight years I built and maintained camera and lighting rigs on film sets, which was a lot of fun. I was lucky enough to travel to Europe and Asia to work on video projects, and I got to work on a lot of cool movies and TV shows.

After that, I spent eight years in the tech world as a digital marketer and software engineer. 

I've been working as a handyman for about a year and I love it. 

The combination of working with clients and fixing things is something I find to be personally satisfying and rewarding.

I often think to myself, "Why didn't I start doing this sooner!"

Today I run First Call Handyman out of East Dallas, Texas–located in the M Streets area. Via First Call, I bring that same blend of craftsmanship and customer-first focus to every job. I love working with my hands, but what truly drives me is listening: understanding your vision, your timeline, and your budget, then mapping out a plan with zero surprises.
